Hickory Dickory Documentary Films Inc.
produces high-quality, low-budget films for the Documentary Film market. Our documentary films are for television, one hour in duration, and produced in DV format.
HDD Films’ projects range from short documentaries on Aboriginal Healthcare and Education, to longer films that examine the role of Canadians in International Development. All projects follow common themes of activism, community, and Canadian perspective of the world around them.
HDD Films is dedicated to the quality of the content it provides. Our team immerses itself in the environment that is being documented.
Hickory Dickory Documentary Films Inc. was created as a joint venture between Michelle Skanes, a University of Ottawa BBA graduate with a background in theater and education; Stewart Ferguson, a financing manager with many years experience in the North American Automobile Financing Industry, as well as quality assurance; and, Jason Watt, a Paramedic, Registered Nurse, and a published writer and photographer.
The above co-founders, with the support of a talented and experienced technical and management team, are negotiating the path to filmmaking success.
HDD Films is located in Pakenham, Ontario, at 2496 County Rd. 29 North. This location was chosen due to its proximity to the arts community, as well as its close proximity to Canada's National Capital.
